Poughkeepsie - Lauren Fadeley, dancer from the Oscar-nominated film Black Swan and former New York City Ballet Corps, brings fairy tale magic to life at the Bardavon on Saturday, June 9, 2012 in Poughkeepsie City Ballet’s production of Swan Lake. Ms. Fadeley will dance the lead role of Odette/Odile. She will be partnered by James Ihde, Pennsylvania Ballet Company Soloist dancing the role of Prince Siegfried. Mr. Ihde has performed lead roles in works choreographed by Jerome Robbins, George Balanchine, Paul Taylor and Christopher Wheeldon.
Students from New York Academy of Ballet in a cast of over 100 dancers will captivate audiences of all ages in this classic fairy tale of a beautiful Swan Princess, a Handsome Prince, an Evil Sorcerer and Eternal Love. Juan Cardona, Jr. performs on the majestic Bardavon Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ.
