NEWBURGH - On May 7th, Bishop Dunn Memorial School (BDMS) held its Annual Sports Banquet at Hudson Hall at Mount Saint Mary College where it honored its athletes and coaches, from the Cheerleading, Basketball, and Soccer teams, said Karen Kellogg, principal of BDMS.

Marc Corrado, the BDMS Athletic Director, also handed out the Orange County Parochial School League Scholar-Athlete awards for the Basketball League. Scholar Athlete awards were given to the Varsity and Junior Varsity athletes from each school in the League who carried the highest grade point average at the conclusion of the basketball season. Two of Bishop Dunn’s graduating seniors: Christian LoBiondo and Julia Conyea, 8th grade, received the OCPSL Varsity Scholar Athlete Award for carrying the highest average while playing Varsity Basketball.

Undergraduate students, Hayden McElduff, Marianna Pastorello, Jared Castro and Emmanuel Davis, also received Scholar Athlete Awards. "I am very proud of all of our scholar athletes," said Principal Kellogg. "It was a wonderful evening and we wish our graduating students the very best, while looking forward to another wonderful year with our returning students."
