Honorary Chair John Hendrickson; Saratoga 150 Chairman Charles Wait; equine artist Robert Clark; and New York Racing Association, Inc. CEO and President Chris Kay at the special ceremony following the day’s fourth race.

SARATOGA SPRINGS - Saratoga 150: Memories to Last a Lifetime - a special ceremony honoring the 150th anniversary season at Saratoga Race Course - followed the day’s fourth race on Friday, August 30th. Additionally, the ceremony honored equine artist Robert Clark (second from right), who designed SPAtacular, the celebrated Saratoga 150 horse. Closing weekend marks the final days that SPAtacular will reside inside the Clubhouse gates.

The Saratoga 150 time capsule was also highlighted during a special winner’s circle ceremony that showcased some of the more than 40 items selected to be buried in the time capsule at Saratoga Race Course following the close of the meet, including the dress worn by Marylou Whitney during the Floral Fete Promenade and a saddlecloth signed by all of the jockeys who rode in the Travers.
