WEST POINT - Army Director of Athletics Boo Corrigan recently announced that Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing Stephanie Menio will assume the role of the department’s Senior Woman Administrator. Menio, an assistant athletic director in her second year at West Point, will take over the supervision of several sports and serve as the Academy’s representative for the Patriot League Sport Management Committee and Committee on Athletic Administration among other duties.
"We are thrilled to have Stephanie join our executive staff and serve as our Senior Woman Administrator," Corrigan said. "She is an incredibly bright and hard working colleague who will always keep our mission here at West Point in the forefront of all we do."
In her elevated position, Menio will serve as the sport supervisor for the rifle, softball and golf teams, along with Army’s Rabble Rousers. In addition to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, she will also oversee the department’s strength and conditioning and gift shop staffs.
Menio began at West Point in August 2012 in the role of assistant athletic director for marketing, a title which she will maintain. In that role, she oversees the marketing for football, hockey, lacrosse and men’s and women’s basketball, while assisting with the marketing efforts for the Army A Club, Army Sports Properties and the Aspire Relationship Management Group. In addition, Menio also contributes with game presentation, social and digital media efforts, graphic design, sales and revenue generation efforts.
Before arriving on the banks of the Hudson, Menio spent seven years as the coordinator of women’s basketball operations at Notre Dame. During her tenure with the Fighting Irish, she oversaw all aspects of marketing and promotions for the program, as well as serving as director camps and assisting with team travel and recruiting efforts. Notre Dame enjoyed an unprecedented growth in attendance during Menio’s time in South Bend, Ind., finishing among the top 11 in the nation in average attendance each season during all seven seasons and averaging 8,571 fans per game.
Prior to her time at Notre Dame, Menio spent the 2004-05 season as a marketing associate in the athletics department at the University of Missouri where she focused on marketing and promotions for the Tiger women’s basketball, volleyball, softball and gymnastics programs, as well as assisting with group ticket sales and game management for football and men’s basketball.
Before making a stop in Missouri, Menio spent the previous two years as a marketing assistant with the women’s basketball program at the University of Pittsburgh, which coincided with the debut of the new Petersen Events Center and the women’s basketball programs’ first sellout crowd.
Menio graduated from Pittsburgh in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, and earned her Master of Science degree in integrated marketing communications from West Virginia University in 2009. Menio is a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and currently resides in Nyack, NY.
