Orange County’s premier leadership training program is currently accepting applications for its 2011 class. Leadership Orange - now in its 17th year - will accept applications through May 15th.
Approximately 35 leaders and emerging leaders are chosen each year to participate in the 10-month program. The knowledge and experiences they gain in the program enables community members to better understand the many challenges that are facing Orange County and, therefore, to better serve our community.
Class participants receive training on topics important to Orange County residents and businesses including education, health and human services, communications, government and politics, the environment, culture and recreation, economic development, leadership development and the judicial system. Classes meet on the first Wednesday of each month from September through June. The full day program includes presentations, role-playing, and roundtable discussions.
Applications are open to the public and individuals from all sectors are encouraged to apply. Call 845-457-1550 for your application or download a copy at www.leadershiporange.org. Tuition for the 10-month program is $1000. A limited number of scholarships are available.
Leadership Orange is a completely private, non-partisan organization that relies on support from the business community to reach its goals. For more information on the program or to sponsor a session, please feel free to call Richie Lay at 845-457-1550.
