HVFCUs new executive changes



New Chief Financial Officer Tyrone Muse, and new Vice President of Retail Delivery Derrik Wynkoop

Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (HVFCU) announced that it has made two personnel moves that better align the organization with its strategic focus. Derrik R. Wynkoop has been named Vice President of Retail Delivery, a newly created position. Tyrone Muse has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Both report to Mary D. Madden, President/Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Wynkoop had been the CFO for HVFCU prior to this move. In his new role, Mr. Wynkoop will oversee the credit union’s Retail Sales and Service operation; HVFCU Financial Services, which handles members’ alternative investment, insurance and financial planning needs; the Insurance Agency of the Hudson Valley, a Property and Casualty subsidiary of HVFCU; Branch Administration; and the Information Center, which handles all incoming telephone requests from members.

Mr. Wynkoop joined the credit union in 2004 as CFO. Prior to joining HVFCU, he was at Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Walden Federal in Walden, New York. Mr. Wynkoop also was an adjunct professor at Mount St. Mary College and Marist College from 1992 to 2003.

Mr. Wynkoop holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree and Bachelor’s degree from Marist College. In addition to the credit union, Mr. Wynkoop serves as Treasurer for the Community Foundation of Orange County.

Mr. Wynkoop and his family reside in Walden.

As CFO, Mr. Muse oversees the credit union’s Accounting, Controllership and Investment areas.

He joined the credit union in February, 2005, as Director of Internal Audit. Prior to HVFCU, Mr. Muse was a Finance Manager at GE Asset Management for three years.

While at HVFCU, Mr. Muse has served as a Loaned Executive helping the United Way of Dutchess County; been an American Red Cross supporter; was coordinator of the credit union’s volunteer efforts involving the Special Olympics of New York’s Inaugural Nocturnal Golf Outing; and was chair of the 11th Ann-ual HVFCU Black History Breakfast in 2007.

Mr. Muse holds an MBA, a Master’s Degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University. He also is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. Muse and his family reside in Wallkill, New York.

HVFCU is a community chartered credit union offering personal financial services to nearly 200,000 members. The credit union has more than $2.1 billion in assets. HVFCU currently serves its members through ten branch offices in Dutchess and Orange Counties and four Dutchess County IBM branches. The credit union also offers members 24-hour account access by Internet and telephone, and a nationwide network of ATMs.
