GOSHEN – Dr. Dean Scher, Executive Director of Catholic Charities Community Services of Orange County (CCCSOC), and Susan Murray Tetz, Board Chair, are pleased to announce that Town of Newburgh resident David Jolly and Warwick resident Thomas Fitzgerald have been appointed to the not-for-profit human services agency’s volunteer Board of Directors.
"We are delighted to welcome David and Tom to the Catholic Charities’ board," said Ms. Murray Tetz. "Both are long-time residents of Orange County with a demonstrated commitment of giving back to the community in which they live and work. In just a short time, they have already proven themselves to be assets to the efforts of our organization."
Mr. Jolly, who currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of The Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center, held the office of Orange County Commissioner of Social Services for nearly nine years. As a board member, Jolly has joined CCCSOC’s programs committee which oversees the many programs and services provided by the agency at locations throughout Orange County.
"In my role as Social Services Commissioner, I had the opportunity to see first-hand the good work that Catholic Charities does for people in need in Orange County. They strive to provide assistance to those who are struggling with life’s challenges. I look forward to being more involved as a board member," added Jolly.
"As a member of St. Stephen’s parish in Warwick for nearly 30 years, I have long admired the work of Catholic Charities and the much-needed services they provide throughout Orange County," said Fitzgerald.
"It’s my pleasure to welcome David and Tom to our Catholic Charities family," said Scher. "The experience, expertise, and strong community ties will be a benefit to our agency and our community as we work to provide assistance to our friends and neighbors in Orange County."
