Ulster Savings Bank to Showcase Paintings

NEW PALTZ - Ulster Savings Bank would like to invite the public to their 226 Main Street, New Paltz branch on Wednesday, July 9th from 2:00pm – 4:00pm to enjoy a collection of pastel paintings created by award-winning artist, E S DeSanna. The exhibit will be available for viewing during the month of July.

Ms. DeSanna, a Woodstock resident, typically paints landscapes en plein air (in outdoor settings), using pastels as her primary medium. While she has used the scenic wonder of the Hudson Valley as her inspiration over the years, her trips to England and northern and central Italy have led to beautiful images as well.

After attending the School of Visual Arts in New York City, Ms. DeSanna graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelor’s Degree in Art Education. She continued her studies at the Woodstock School of Art and Il Chiostro in Italy. She has taught pastel workshops for small groups around the Hudson Valley and in Italy, and currently offers paintings classes privately and through the Arts Society of Kingston.

Ms. DeSanna remains active in the local arts scene, serving as a member of the Woodstock Artists Association and the Arts Society of Kingston. She is a member of the Exhibition Committees of both organizations.

For more information concerning the exhibit, please contact Rocco Pucino, III, New Paltz Senior Branch Manager, at 255-5470, ext. 4202.
