Local Leader Named Chairman of Greater Newburgh Partnership

David Potack and Sean Patrick Maloney

NEWBURGH - David Potack, Vice President of Unitex (a local business and leader in the healthcare laundry industry), has been appointed as Chairman of the Greater Newburgh Partnership. In his new role, Potack will focus his efforts on the expansion and revitalization of the Port of Newburgh, a project recently approved by the Newburgh City Council, and brought to fruition through bipartisan support of Federal, State and local officials. The Port of Newburgh will help supply materials and transport decking for the new Tappan Zee Bridge and will positively impact the community with its potential for new jobs, revenue and economic development for the city.

"I am thrilled to have been chosen for this leadership role," said David Potack, Chairman, Greater Newburgh Partnership. "The Port of Newburgh project is exciting and it is an honor to be part of such a dedicated team of individuals, local businesses and organizations looking to help revitalize this amazing city."

Potack believes that the Greater Newburgh Partnership and his company, Unitex, share the same mission—progressive thinking, sustainable practices and the ability to take the community to new and exciting levels.

"It is very important for our company to invest in the overall success and future of Newburgh as we have over 80% of our Newburgh team members residing within the city. The progress that the city will make is directly connected to the success of our organization."
